INDIAN COAST GUARD Vacancy Details :- 

Applications are invited from male Indian nationals possessing education qualification and age as prescribe below for recruitment to the post of Enrolled Follows (Sweeper/Safaiwala) in Indian Coast Guard to be filled by direct recruitment basis as per recruitment rules:-

Total No. of Posts :- 07 Posts (UR-03 OBC-01 SC-01 ST-02)

Name of Posts :-  Sweeper/Safaiwala

Education Qualification :- 10th/ ITI or equivalent

Age Limit :-  Should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years (Relaxable for Government servant in accordance with the instructions/orders issued by the Central Government) Upper age relaxation of 3 years for OBC, 05 years for SC/ST candidates. The candidates from Odisha can only apply

Age. Born between

1. UR Candidates – 12 Mar 1994 to 12 Mar 2001
2. SC/ST Candidates – 12 Mar 1989 to 12 Jan 2001
3. OBC Candidates – 12 Mar 1991 to 12 Mar 2001

Physical Standards. Following are the requirement of physical standards:-

1. Height :-  Minimum height requirement is 157 cms which may be reduced up to 5 cms in the case of Nagaland,
   Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Garhwal/Kumaon, Sikkim, local tribals of Andaman & Nicobar
   Islands and upto 2 cms in case of candidates from Lakshadweep, mainland settlers in Andaman & Nicobar for candidates
   joining the Coast Guard.
2. Chest :-  Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
3. Weight :-  Proportionate to height and age (+ 10% acceptable).
4. Eye Sight:- 6/60 (Better) 6/60 (Worse) without glasses.6/9 (Better) 6/24 (Worse) with glasses.

Selection procedure: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Written Test, Professional Skill Test and Physical Fitness Test. Application which are not in prescribed format without photocopies of certificates (Self attested) having no photograph or signature of the candidate will be summarily rejected. The application should only be sent by ORDINARY POST. The decision of the commanding officer, Indian Coast Guard Station Paradip regarding selection/rejection will be final and no correspondence will be entertained.
